Linnaeus Cannabis
This was a final project for my graduate degree in graphic design at George Brown College. The goal was to create a complete branding package for a fictional local business. In 2019, Canada had just started legalizing marijuana and making it more readily accessible. At the time, it was beginning to be marketed not as the ‘lazy stoner’ is changing. Smoking is becoming hip and stylish, something that one can do to unwind after a long day in the office, akin to having a glass of wine.
I wanted to create a stylish logo & branding for a cannabis company that would appeal to a discerning Gen-X / Elder Millennial audience.
Deliverables included: Logo, business card, letterhead, envelope, folder, style guide, outdoor signage, packaging, website landing page layout, and content page layout.

Going All In
Instead of just adhering to the project brief, I went all in and ensured that the packaging for my fictional project adhered to the actual packaging standards required by the OCS. The warning label had to be a particular shade of yellow; the logo could only be so big, the Health Canada font had to be a specific size, etc.
