Auxita

Auxita is a revolutionary digital healthcare platform aiming to simplify the world of medicine and patient care by connecting physicians, patients, and patient support programs all in one.

I was tasked with redesigning the physician scheduling side to keep track of their patient's treatment plans across multiple medical protocols. Working with UX architects on the team who created rough wireframes, I took the existing design system developed by my colleague a year prior and created new patterns to suit the new need.

Designing new patterns

Building upon the original design patterns, Auxita realized they required a way for clinicians and physicians to keep track of the patient.

We worked very closely with the team at Auxita to better understand the specific needs of the physicians and ensure that the data was clear and organized. It was also essential to have a filtering system to define parameters as 100s of patients’ oncology protocols can coincide.

Designing for patient care

The principal experience architect and I discussed potential solutions and then searched for visual examples of our ideas. For the MVP, the focus was desktop as this was the primary way physicians accessed their patient files. The wireframes were then created and presented to Auxita for their initial impressions and feedback before the visual design could begin.

With the wireframes approved, we refined the final wireframes to better understand the expectations for interaction design, which can sometimes play into visual design. The revamp focused on streamlining the physician’s user experience of enrolling a patient into a drug program by eliminating excessive data and non-essential paperwork and processes.
